Last night I was talking to my 17yr. old son who hasn't been among the Borg since ca. 2002, and asked him why he hates religions. His response: "Because, they are the ones that start all wars and I think the Governments ought to eliminate them all". I then told him, "Well, what about the JW's, they never started any wars?" His reponse to that: No, that's the cool thing about them, but I don't like all the other garbage they teach."
Just thought I'd share with you some truths.

Very astute young man you've got there, Linda. Has he picked out a college yet?
They may not start wars claiming it is out of love for fellowman, but they certainly know how to destroy families. In that respect, I think that their claims regarding not being involved in war are quite shallow. If you're going to rip families apart based on whether they accept JW teachings or not, who needs war?

Your young man has a very large brain between his ears! To me that means his mom has done a wonderful job!
One thing you might bring up if it ever comes into a discussion again is while it is true the jw's never started a war they spend a lot of time pointing accusing fingers at those that may have the ability to prevent them. They claim to be no part of the world but never have anything constructive to print or say about any party. It's kind of like they're watching a schoolyard fight and being asked who they want to win. The jw bystander would say "Neither, one of them is stupid and the other one is ugly." That's a horrible analogy I know, but the morning coffee has yet to kick in.
RebornAgain..There are many that don`t know the WBT$ is a big player,in the "War Machine".....I had a Birthday awhile ago..A present from one of my friends was,500 shares of "Rand Cam"!..I have it framed and hanging on the wall beside my desk..LOL!!...........Something else you may not know..Jehovah`s Witness`s are forbidden to use tobacco products..The WBT$ recieves profits from tobacco,from the Heneretia M.Riely Trust fund..Stocks in that trust fund include tobacco giant Phillip Morris..

Outlaw: they are such hypocrites. And to think they would have had a fit if they knew my Ex at the time was doing work for a nuclear power plant. It had something to do with nuclear warhead as well if I remember right. But, it was his job and he had 4 mouths to feed at the time. If the JW's knew, they would have made him quit the job or DF him.
