I am the mother of a disabled child who lived until he was 22.
He couldn't speak but this would have made him laugh - loudly.
I see nothing wrong with the performing arts. No matter who is involved.
If you watched it and laughed so as to make fun, that says more about you than I would want to know.
But if you laughed because they were obviously enjoying their own performance, to me that is just a heartfelt human connection.
Kudos to their director/teacher.
Isn't it fabulous that there is always someone out there to disagree with you.
Defending disabled kids actually got me in trouble.

I kinda think it was being a bit disrespectful that's all.
Ok, I could hear it this time around and I am not too thrilled. Because there was some form of partiality, ridiculing and/or racism shown there. Not very respectful....more like down right making fun of some people.

I didn't laugh, and it wasn't because they were disabled; I didn't laugh because, well ... because it wasn't funny. They seemed to be enjoying their performance, which is good. I didn't see any disrespect or ridicule being displayed, but I also didn't see any actual humor either.
5th, if someone was laughing at them, I agree that is disrespectful.
For me, I merely stated how I would react....if someone laughs - they could of found the humour in it,
or they could be laughing at them, which isn't nice.

it wasnt funny. Not because who was involved. It just wasnt funny. I dont think it was intended to be funny was it? It was just some type of PA exercise i believe. I dunno.

It looked to me like a Special Ed class doing a little skit. They seemed to be having fun. I thought it was kind of sweet. I didn't laugh because I didn't find it funny. I don't think it's intent was to demean.

not to disrespect the people involved........ but in wondering why they did it in the first place.
looked like they were having a damn good time and i wonder if it was a serious thing meaning everyone likes a good werewolf flick...... and this was their way of showing it. or if it was a skit set up for some other purpose
then i had my typical stupid thought of the minute........ what if a person who was disabled was bitten by a vampire or werewolf................ think about it
This must have been an exercise to aid individuals to express themselves and it was video taped. I did not think it funny....a bit confusing actually. The kids seems to be having fun, and, if so, I am happy for them.
