I have no goals regarding the WTB&TS. They are completely unimportant to me. I'm all about promoting positive things rather than killing negative things, for the most part.
Do You Have A Goal Regarding Jehovah's Witnesses???

A break in the shunning policy - if only on an individual basis - and if only in the case of voluntary disassociation - will be, I believe, the catalyst for the dam of free thought to burst so meaningful reform can take place. Everything else should eventually fall into place after that.

Nope, no goal other than to ridicule them whenever possible.

I believe that religious beliefs are something very personal and would never try to get JWs to leave the Hall. I firmly believe that that is a decision best left up to the person in question. Everyone is different. Plus, I don't think it's healthy to be overly-obsessed with how evil the Watchtower Society is, either. Sure, they're bad, but there are FAR worse groups out there. Spending a lot of time "speaking out" against JWs just means that you haven't moved on with your life. In a way, some of the exJW activists are still slaves to the Watchtower.
However, there is a difference between that and making information available to people that want to hear the whole story. I really thank those who have put up websites with information about the sex abuse cases, the NGO affair, and the bat-s**t insane stuff Rutherford used to write. But protesting KH's and Assemblies, going to the memorial to piss people off by eating the bread and drinking the wine, handing out fliers to dubs in broad daylight, is kind of....well.....loserish to me. It isn't going to do any good. They've already demonized you, and you won't make yourself easy to listen to by acting exactly how they said you would.
The best offense against JWs is to not mount an offense at all, they're prepared for it. If a JW challenges you on why you don't believe their doctrine, then they've opened the door for you to show them the logical twists and turns the Watchtower theology puts them through. It's been said many times on this board, but the best revenge is simple, to live well. -

Yes I do. At every opportunity I have since being out ,( especially since learning more about the child abuse scandals, higher education put downs, and blood transfusion scandals by the org ) I talk with witnesses when they come to my door and preach to them about the wrongs of their religion just from a common sense view , without discussing the Bible . They will usually listen because I come across in a respectful but firm of conviction type way to them. So I want to show each of them when I see them , that their religion is committing unjust, unfair , wrongs toward it's members , if they talk with me, they are going to get the message . So my goal is to gradually expose this cult for what it is , sucking the real life out of it's members while controlling their minds and lives.
My second goal is to help my daughters eventually get out of the cult , aged 20 and 19. It might take years , but I will patiently try to always be there for them while waiting for the right time for them to see the light and leave the witnesses. My parents are too old at 82 and 80 to get out , so they respect my standing as a fader, I will respect theirs considering their age.
And also last, but not least my goal is to continuing to assist those newbies and others who need encouraging thoughts and insight to help them after leaving the witnesses. I hope that by some small thought or caring word, myself as well as all of us can assist such abused ones who have been tormented in their lives by this witness cult. If we can help just a few or more, it will have been so worth it ! Great thread Minimus ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

My goal is the hope that my husband sees the one sided evil and hate that resides there.

Yea, I am still in "fix-it" mode.............
Sucks because I am an ideas person! But alas I will not share them. I believe now that the Tower needs to crack, crumble and fall. I want to be around close enough to witness the glorious destruction, but also to help those whom fell blind to the GB's "false Christ", just as I would have wanted help. As we all know, there are many "good hearted" persons, trapped because of fear. I just wonder how many more years can the GB arguably say that Christ was enthroned in 1914, unless they want to start claiming we are in the 1000 year reign. No, I see an end, far off yes, but there is light at the end of this tunnel and it ain't nothing like what we learned in the KH!

I would one day like to be in a position to work in an environment that helps people who have come out of cults.
Sometimes I get angry and have a desire to become an activist against the WT, but I think this is just an instinctive reaction to the injustice of it all.
My ideal goal is to get my son to see that the WT is a cult and not the "Truth", as he currently believes.
I hope to one day free myself from everything to do with being a JW and live a happy and fulfilled life.
