It's like the JW's have lost a whole generation.

Hey I noticed that too locally and on here I only wish I could say I was still in that group
I would really like to know what it was about my generation that made us open our eyes and leave.I know for me it was the two faced people and the lack of love in the congergation that made me see things in a bad light. Then as I was out longer and longer I found people to be not as bad as I was told. The again I was always a rebel.Tell me to do one thing and I'll do just the oppisite just to piss you off.I've alway's been that way.
I've been on the board 4 years. I was still in my thirties then. Maybe it takes a born in that long to make up his/her mind to pull back the curtain.
I don't know about that.I've been out far longer than I've been on any board.I just hit my 9 year mark.I've only been online 2 years.
I started to participate on xjw message boards and chatrooms in my 30's

That's me all the way! If you told me "worldly people are bad", I would make friends just to see if you were right! I never bought into the "because I said so" thing. I needed proof. Maybe that's what helped me get out so early and stay out.

Oh to be in my thirties.
Ian
I think it was due to the generation of 1914 being retracted. We spent a-lot of our childhood seeing people older who we loved and just "knowing" they'd still be around when the big A came. We didn't thing we'd reach the age of 30 TOPS before the end came. When the whole thing changed I think it made many of us take a look and say.....WAIT a minute here....Do I still have faith in what they tell us anymore???
An interesting observation. I was in my early 30's when I woke up and left the org.
