Welcome! I've been out for a while, but for years they did "encourage" the congregations to participate in Bible reading and would assign chapters starting from Genesis through Revelation. However, only the die-hards with lots of time on their hands would do it (and brag about it). Anyway, I'm sure when they came across scriptures that didn't seem to make sense, they would bury their heads in the sand. Of course, the Witnesses use the Brooklyn translated, NWT. Most of what they are reading, even if it is all the chapters and verses in the Bible, are lean toward Brooklyn's teachings. So for most Witnesses, they do use the same scriptures over and over again to support what they want people to believe from the Watchtower and other publications.

Use the bible? Of course they do, just like every other cult and every other religion; they cherry pick it. And why not? After all, if we all used the bible in its every literal sense, most of us would go to jail or the mental hospital.

JW's follow a pattern of schedules Bible reading. They are given roughly 3 chapters a week to read and supposedly meditate on.
However, very little Bible study is done at the Kingdom Hall.
Talk # 2 is basically a brother READING a portion of scripture in 4 minutes with no commentary.
The Watch Tower gets more attention than the Bible. -

They sell their material? How much?
They used to sell it for what was it last 50 each on the mags, $7 for a bible 20 for other things. Though they went to a volunteer donation system, secretly they keep track of it still, and make the congregations pay for it instead via a lump sum donation.
