    Hello again...

OK..I have the Christmas bug already, and am wondering when everyone actually puts up all the clips and hang their lights? I understand traditionally lights go on the day after Thanksgiving...right? So...my question is do you start that day or weeks before so you can sit back and enjoy the lights getting flipped on the day after Thanksgiving?? I am at a loss. Of course I know it's up to me..but what is typical for all of you? This is our first year putting lights up on our house! We can hardly wait!

    Sincerely,

Mrs. Clause....Oh I mean Lady Liberty

I think I want to hang the American Corporate Flag instead. Unfortunately, my neighbors might lynch me.

Last year I put out a Halloween tree around Halloween. I put away all the other holiday decor, but the Halloween tree is still out, being used as a key-holder. This year, we're celebrating Halloween straight through from now until New Year's Eve - with halloween tree, lights, etc. (mostly indoors last year), but I'm thinking outdoors this year; buying more halloween stuff for outside too, I mean.

Funny, I like them so much I just leave mine up year round! But they are all white and just around the deck and umbrella. I am suprised the elders have not busted me for it. I have never celebrated. Every year the big thing dubs do is take a week with the fam an go to Myrtle Beach. I swear to God this year..... there are two prick elders that go, and I am going to put a bunch of crappy lights around their front doors or wherever ther is an outlet and lite em up....they will crap when they get home.....oompa

It seems like when I was a kid, Christmas stuff didn't go up until after Thanksgiving. This year, a couple of weeks ago, I was in Lowes, and they had their man made trees up and Christmas music blaring. It was great! It was a "commercially spiritual experience" for me.

OMG Christmas is getting so close! I just got my Halloween decorations out and still have the Jack-O-Lanterns to do! Those darn pumpkins mold did you know that? Uck! So I'm giving them a little longer and it's raining like crazy here they will be out in the rain....can you say moldy!

OK Christmas lights are going up for us the first two weekends after T-day and this year we have lots to put up! I stocked up after Christmas last year on the half off and cheaper sales! Hubby has already been warned that he has a big job to do and I sure hope I don't wear out my finger pointing him in the right direction, lol....fortunately he gives me the easy job telling him where to hang all the lights and he has to climb the ladder I just make sure it's steady.

And this year I really want to buy a real live Christmas tree for our house I love the smell and just want a bigger real tree in the living room not the little artificial one.

Here is a pic of our tree last year, it's so little!

I'm aiming for sometime around December 1st. Last year, we never decorated and didn't set up our tree, due to illness and lack of time. This year, we plan to make up for it by getting especially festive.
