I think the division that the Danny Haszard incident caused did more damage than the pepper spray did. And I'm still in favor of giving him the benefit of the doubt until I hear otherwise, since in this country a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Personally I was not surprised by either incident. When you look at the stats...two people out of thousands having severe issues...is less then the population as a whole. There were red flags with both situations from the beginning. If people are really honest they probably thought that there was something not right with both situations, but chose to believe the best. Learn and move on...it is life. I am sorry for those that where hurt by either one of these incidents.

Hope you don't mind the observations of a 'newbie'...as I said on another thread, I came here directly as a result of a posting on Reachout Trust that "Linda's death" was a scam.

So many people on RT had expressed sympathy to Trev soon as they heard, then the scam was revealed shortly afterwards.

It was very easy to get sucked into it - the guy Trev is clearly not welcome here any more, however it also affected how I saw things as a

'newbie' even though I registered over 2 years ago.

But because I am not part of the regular community here, you 'closed ranks' against any suspicious outsiders and for the most part my posts didn't really get into the conversation - most of them were kinda overlooked. No bother, these things happen on forums, but one person did PM me to offer a welcome and friendship.

I could give a list of credentials of some well known ex-Witnesses in the States who could vouch for my identity but I'm not sure how
'name-dropping' would go, so I haven't done that.

I felt irate at Trev getting away with it on y'all, and the deception angered me at times - sometimes a trick like that brings out the worse in people.

This whole mess has clearly rattled Trev, and got him on the run. The tragedy of Hillsborough is not, I believe, a fall back event that will him gain any further sympathy.

Not sure how often I'll post here, as maybe I caught everyone having bad-hair days, and unfortunately I just didn't feel made welcome (with the one exception).

Hopefully nothing like this will happen again on JWD...

    Hi Tol

I know you from RT forums and I met a couple of the others at the Apostacurry who know and have met you personally. I'll vouch for you being genuine and not another socket puppet. Folks were just a bit raw as you noticed, no harm intended I'm sure.

Welcome into the open now you're here!

I think having a ttempted suicide.

Diagnosed as having "acute clinical depression"

    Six weeks in psychiatric hospital.

Been before a Judicial Commttee and reproved.

Being told to leave my family home because I was a "spiritual danger" to my family.

Disassociating and then not having my wife and two daughters not speak to me for the last 6 years.

I think "Danny H incident / Trevorgate incident" comes way down on my list o f life changing events.

Welcome Tolpuddleman. Don't feel like people were intentionally trying to avoid you....this is a very large message board. Most of us feel that no one really notices if you are here or not. The main thing is to get out of this board what you need to be healthy. JMO

    Some words to live by:

    The Gambler

    On a warm summer's eve
On a train bound for nowhere
I met up with the gambler
We were both too tired to sleep
    So we took turns a-starin'
Out the window at the darkness
The boredom overtook us, he began to speak

He said, "Son, I've made a life
    Out of readin' people's faces
    Knowin' what the cards were
By the way they held their eyes
So if you don't mind my sayin'
I can see you're out of aces
For a taste of your whiskey
    I'll give you some advice"

So I handed him my bottle
And he drank down my last swallow
    Then he bummed a cigarette
And asked me for a light
And the night got deathly quiet
And his faced lost all expression
He said, "If you're gonna play the game, boy
You gotta learn to play it right

You've got to know when to hold 'em
    Know when to fold 'em
    Know when to walk away
    Know when to run
    You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
    When the dealin's done
    Every gambler knows
    That the secret to survivin'
Is knowin' what to throw away
    And knowin' what to keep
    'Cause every hand's a winner
    And every hand's a loser
And the best that you can hope for
Is to die in your sleep"
    And when he finished speakin'
He turned back toward the window
    Crushed out his cigarette
    And faded off to sleep
    And somewhere in the darkness
    The gambler he broke even
    And in his final words
I found an ace that I could keep

You've got to know when to hold 'em
    Know when to fold 'em
    Know when to walk away
    And know when to run
    You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
    When the dealin's done

You've got to know when to hold 'em
    (When to hold 'em)
    Know when to fold 'em
    (When to fold 'em)
    Know when to walk away
    And know when to run
    You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
    When the dealin's done

You've got to know when to hold 'em
    Know when to fold 'em
    Know when to walk away
    And know when to run
    You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
    When the dealin's done

Oh and this one pooh happens!
