  Hey Dawg and everyone else,

  I am angry right now too. My sister who is not baptized cannot get married at the Kingdom Hall. An elder is marrying them. He told him I can only be invited to the Ceremony and I am not allowed to to go to the reception!!! It pisses me off because I rented the Hall where she is having the ceremony $500. So pissed!!!! Well my mom takes care of my kids after school but now I am putting them into Day Care. I couldn't bear the thought of her hurting there feelings like she did last time given them left over cake from the Engagement party after the Elder told me that my prescence was not welcome and that we needed to leave. I got baptized when I was 11 to make my mom happy and with the hopes that she would stop beating me....of course that didn't work. I always had doubts ever since I was a kid. Well I'm so pissed. Does anyone have any ideas on what to tell these elders. I would like to write them a letter. Or bethel...AAAAA it would just be a waste of my time.

  To Z- HH is absolutely right-you paid, you attend. If your name is on the contract, you are LARGE AND IN CHARGE! Don't take any shit from anyone.

  As a matter of fact , I see so much anger here today-it's awful people here are treated like garbage. Don't take it. Fight for your right to freedom. If they are happy being blinded-good on them, but no one but yourself is in charge of YOUR life. Are you a loser? Hell no-you are here. You are a winner.

  If my dad said that to me I would have been so disgusted with him I would have walked out of his life forever. It is disgusting that someone would call a family member that. I thought Witnesses were supposed to refrain from foul language like that. Not much of a Witness from what I can see.

  Believe like me, if you don't then your immoral, I will never read anything that may prove I'm wrong, and if you speak out against what I believe then you are "apostate" to god and I will never associate with you again....

  That's real harsh reasoning coming from your own parent, Dawg. He's following the company line to a "T". My parents also have made it very clear that they don't want to hear why I'm not coming back "home" to JW's, and that until I meet THEIR terms they will not associate with me.

  My anger has to turned into frustration and resignation. I fully realize I'm an orphan now. My parents have been in the Borg over 50 years each, and will not change. Their time is running out and the organization keeps fumbling along.

  I know my parents will die someday and I'll be without them. But I pretty much feel that way already.

  Dawg, you can choose your friends but you cant choose your realitives.

  No ones got a perfect life. The grass is always greener on the other side.

  Maybe you should be a token jw, like a catholic, just to keep your family and peace.

  Maybe you could just do a memorial once a year.

  The bible, which I dont believe, says only a fool says everything he knows. That part might be true. You might have to keep your mouth shut around your family to have peace. Life is short. You have to use your head. Play them dont let them play you.

  Interesting! I picked up on the word chrismatic. I know you love your dad but chrismatic personalities as far as I am concern means manipulating others with a smile,talks more than others at get togethers, and will put people down if they get in his way of attention!

  He is full of himself until someone see through his bull and that would be YOU! I bet the rest of the family does not want to make waves! No one wants to walk on egg shells and that just your dad.

  Something is not right about dad! For one thing most people do not want to rank their sons over the coals for fornication but would want to let it go for now!

  Okay so the GB is not the angle to use on him! you need to stroke his chrismatic charm then slam dunk him with something more obvious! LOL ANYTHING FROM THE REVELATION ITS CLIMAX IS AT HAND BOOK. Say something like this, " So dad for 42 months the Jehovah's Witnesses are suppose to go door to door and sting people who are not sealed?" Yeap that should do it!
