I was raised a witness, I escaped when I was 31. When I decided I had enough. I told my wife and family never to talk to me like I was a witness again. They didnt. I stopped going to meetings. I never got in trouble. I am still invited to family get togethers. In fact, my witness family took me and my wife out for our 35th anniversary this past saturday. Bought me a big steak and beer, gave me a great expensive gift and never talked to me like I was a witness.
And they are elders and leaders of their congregations.
Go figure.
