PEC and Barbara live there, so does my sister and her family - My sister and her family have already evacuated, they have a hotel room, but it isn't far from where they live, so they may have to evacuate again. I was worried about PEC and Barbara so just called them - they are OK they said, and don't think the fire will get to them. I apologize if this news is already on the forum somewhere - I just got home from work.

My office evacuated this afternoon. The Santiago Fire (arson) was getting closer and closer.

My roommate's son and daughter-in-law have also evacuated and are staying here in the house with us. They brought their 3 dogs and 2 cats with them.

And it hurts to breathe. I took a hot shower and then let it run for a bit to steam up the room. The humidity is so low (4%) and the smoke and soot is just too heavy.

Fire season is rough.

My thoughts are with everyone that is affected by the fires. Please take care, it looks pretty bad on the news. I'd love to send you guys some of the rain that is in my area right now. Since I can't do that, I'm sending my best wishes for your safety.

http://www.10news.com/news/14396200/detail.html - I just looked at this website - it has a list of areas in San Diego County that have been evacuated. It's amazing that Del Mar has been partially evacuated - the fire has moved west = Del Mar is right on the ocean.

It's a shame but it is caused by poor forest management. Listen to BILL WATENBURG on KGO 810 AM this weekend. His show comes on at 10 PM . He'll be sure to have an opinion about these latest fires

yes, Del Mar is where the race track is. They are using it as a shelter, but if the fire comes that close to Del Mar, I guess all those folks will have to leave again and go somewhere else.
