So hard to spot the few with flair and talent in the organization

Have you noticed how hard it is to spot people in the organization with flair and talent; you know,

the people who can sing, dance, write, draw or have interesting intellectual conversations about life.

When I go to the hall, I hear the same boring conversations over and over again. There's nothing new under the sun in Jehovah's organization.Very few shine, scholastically or otherwise.

Now, I'm not trying to advocate that people get big headed or outshine others. I'm talking about people who are really good at something and pursue it.

That doesn't mean that they don't shine in their private life. It means the Society keeps a stranglehold over anyone who isn't putting "kingdom interests" first.

And for this reason, and also the lack of higher education the dubs get, so few persons get to realize their full potential.

When you are told you are only a slave, what does that do for your self esteem? Independent thought wiped out. I have met several witnesses who have talent- they are not allowed to show it.

I was (and problably still am) a very talented musician. My talent was looked down upon, like music was the tool of the devil. Anyway, I ended up playing in a blues band, which they liked even less.

It is so sad. The uniqueness of every individual is something very beautiful to me. I hate to see all of that tossed out the window by the religion.

Flair? Did somebody say flair? Oh, damn, I forgot to wear my 13 pieces of flair to work this morning! If anybody gets the film reference, that's funny. If you don't, you just think I'm a dork. Hence the screen name!

I think the organization would disfellowship and run out someone with talent and flare they want a uniform group of sheep. They want conformity.

Those with any specific ability and no spine were under the radar due to self exile of their abilities. Others stood out because they wouldn't do so. I liked those people better because I knew I had a better chance of encountering honesty in all their dealings with me. The "Truth" causes people to dumb themselves down for humility's sake.
