Badboy you seem to have a lot of interest recently in languages and ethnic origins - are you studying them for a course or just interested?
This info on the different Hittite races seems to have been around for a while, would it make any difference to the perceived literal historical truth of the Bible anyway?
I could see a 'Biblical literalist' just shrugging this off and saying so what if there were two different lots of Hittites - if Heth (and its variations) was a common name in the area at the time, then why not?
This would be similar to the variations of Moses based on the consonants 'mss' giving rise to Egyptian 'equivalents'.
Just throwing some ideas in...
