If you go on how many times Paul directly quotes Jesus (???) I don't think he knew his theology or his story too well!
I consider Paul the inventor of Christianity. Paul was for the Jesus celebrity what Lowell Thomas was for T.E.Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia).
When Christianity today starts spouting theology; they almost always are quoting Paul and not Jesus.
