To Lurkers- Give Me 1 Good Reason Society Didn't Admit to Child Abuse Cases

Alright then. For those of you who are lurkers or others. Please tell me if the Watchtower society has personally or in your congregation meetings has admitted to settling with 16 child abuse victims out of court. Have you even been informed they did this earlier this year ? Did they make an announcement at your service meetings to inform you as to these settlements and that they placed a gag order on these victims so they would not be allowed to talk of the crimes that were committed against them , so as not to cause too much embarrassment to the Watchtower society and Jehovah's Witness organization ?

Do you as a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses organization feels the governing body owes you an explanation of what they did in settling these molestation lawsuits of victims , or are you content all the governing body members are telling you the truth and totally trustworthy as to what they allowed to happen to these abuse victims? Would really like to hear from some witness lurkers here, but as always, all are welcome to post their thoughts. If I was a betting man, I bet most of you witnesses did not know these molestation settlements happened. Am I correct in that assumption ? So if the society did not inform elders, publishers, please give me one good reason they did not inform you ! Would really like to know ! Peace out, look forward to your thoughts. Peace out, Mr.Flipper

    Flipper,

I "bet" there will be an "announcement" soon. NOT, unless there is some sort of public attention given to this scandal.

    Why not admit? Arrogence.

I would like to hear from the active JWs, too.

But here's my 2 cents: The bOrg will NEVER address this issue. It will be shoved under the rug and ignored.

They are all about a clean image and they will never address this openly. After a couple of years, it will just

go away and if you, as an active JW, dare bring it up, you will be counselled and told that your attitude needs

adjusting. Trust in the FDS. They will take care of everything in due season.

SKEETER- Thanks for replying. That is exactly my point I'm trying to make with some who might be sitting on the fence thinking of getting out of the witnesses. If the governing body does not respect it's members enough to inform them of what they did , then why should the governing body expect that same respect back ? It does not make sense. But then again, most everything they do, does not make sense. You think they may make an announcement about the settlements ? I'm not so sure about that.

I reverse witnessed to to 2 elders about this molestation crisis this summer. One said, when I asked if the society would make an announcement to the members about it , he said, " I'm not aware of any announcement planned. " His exact words ! Then , when showing the AP news release to another elder witnessing in front of a store, he looked at the news article and said, " Oh! This was spread about by Bill Bowen. He's an apostate. He doesn't respect any thing we do. Always talking bad things about us. " Then he handed the news release back to me ! So, probably they will tell members, you can't believe what you hear in the news, it's not true! Just apostates lying about us! It really annoys me and frosts my balls . Someone needs to rain on their parade more

JOURNEY ON- I do agree with you that is the way this whole thing will go down ! I also had an elder tell me that , " He was concerned I was upset over the child abuse cases. " He said to me, " You should have faith that the governing body handled it in the best manner possible for all involved . " Yeah, right. So shut my trap, Mr. Flipper That facial expression is all I can think of. This cult, really weird

    Flipper,

They will come clean about the whole pedophilia debacle in a new Watchtower article . . . about the time they mention in print about the UN/NGO affair. They would rather look clean than be clean. Whores!

JK666- Yeah, I agree with you. They would rather look clean than be clean. With the leaders of the witness organization, everything is about how they appear outwardly , to their members and those they " witness " to in their cult ingathering work. So far, I haven't had one lurking poster who is still a witness give me 1 good reason the society has not told them anything yet. I guess all of our reasons are the correct ones that have been stated so far ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper of the ( I'm still waiting for a good reason from the witnesses class! )

Admiting it would open a plethora of suits... that'll never happen, because they don't give a crap about nothing but their image.

    Good post Mr, Flipper

KUDRA- Who the hell is NIXMO ? Is she someone you want to come on here and give good reasons why the society did not admit to the child abuse ? Then come on NIXMO, or whoever you are, bring it on lets hear it ! Do you have something for us we need to hear ?

DAWG- Yes. I agree with you. It would open a Pandora's Box if the society ever truly admitted or made a announcement at the service meeting , perhaps apologizing for allowing the molestation's to happen. People would be coming out of the woodwork wanting financial satisfaction through lawsuits, and considering the society has paid out already, it just might bankrupt them if all the cases became known. On second thought, that sounds like a good idea ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
