What would JW's say to themselves if you showed up at a meeting?

Elder #1 [whispers to Elder #2] - "What the hell is that Son of a Bitch doing here?"

Elder #2 "Probably planning on bringing a few more Jw's to hell with him"

Elder #1 " Can you believe he left just because the Watchtower lied to him for 40 years, joined the UN like a slutty whore, killed off some of his friends by convincing them to misapply scriptures, and kept changing prophecy time and time and time again?"

Elder #3 [Joining the conversation now] " Yes, and I heard through the grapevine that he actually attended another church from time to time, and prayed with them?"

The Group "Ahhhhhh. "

Elder #1 - "And he doesn't respect our shunning practices either. Look at the demonic look on his face - trying to speak to his mother-in-law. Oh my God, he is headed to the front of the hall. What the hell is he up to - he can't sit up there. All eyes will be on him and not on me, and I have worked so hard on this public talk too."

The song begins.

Elder #2 " WTF is going on? Someone is singing 'Amazing Grace' to the tune of 'We're Jehovah's Witnesses'. It's that SOB Ak Jeff up there. And look, he is carrying an NIV Bible and what.... what is that? A crucifix around his neck?"

Elder #3 " We'd better convene an emergency meeting of the Service Committee to see if we should ban the ass from our building. We can't tolerate different religious opinions here, and people who dare talk to others without our permission, and those who would read a Non-Approved Bible like that!"

Elder #1 " Did you see that? Little Brother Comingalong is eyeing AK's soul-patch. How dare that evil monster wear facial hair into this building. May God Jehovah protect us!"

Elder #3 "I even heard that he takes his Grandchilden to basketball games, allows them to participate in sports, and he watches R rated movies too. He has probably even looked at porn on the internet. I heard he started his own church. "

Elder #1 "Well here I go, time for the talk. I shall try and lead the audience in thought control against apostacy. Look at the fruitage it brings."

Other Elders run off in the direction of the little room of discipline at the back of the KH to determine future actions, with looks of authority on their faces.

You should see what they do after the meeting!!

Hmm. I haven't thought about what they might say about me-

However, I do know what I would say to them- especially those "friends" who haven't spoken to me since I told them I was confused. I know they'd see me at the meeting and come up and try to be all nice and lovey, and I hope, if I ever make it to a meeting again, to have the guts to tell them to not even bother even coming up to me with those fake smiles because I don't wish to talk to them. That's right, I'm shunning them back-

But I have no idea why I would ever fathom going back to a meeting except to show off my little girl.
