You all be careful there, nothing like an earthquake. It is shows us just how meaningless and insignificant we are compared to the power of nature.

Glad you No Cal posters are OK. It's been a few years since we've had one down here so I think we are due.
The '94 quake really shook us up. I was caught unprepared and since then always have a case (or just half a case) of water in my trunk along with an extra set of clothes. Usually tennis shoes or hiking boots but I've gotten lazy with the shoes for the past year or so.
Beware of aftershocks. They can sometimes be a strong as the primary quake.

We had a big quake about four years ago and It screwed up all the water wells in the area. Our water was brown and smelled like rotten eggs. It took five days for it to clear up.
I hope nobody was injured and the damage in minimal.

A 5.6 feels differently compared to how close you are to the epicenter. It is rare to actually be at an epicenter, so it may have felt more than a 5.6 if you were right close to its point of origination.
