"A New Earth"....Eckhart Tolle

The most powerful book I have ever read.

Many have read "The Power Of Now"....his new book blows it away...

The beautiful thing about Eckhart is he doesn't claim to have "The Truth"...He isn't trying to start a new religion...

He will bring you to tears when he tells you how you have created your own ego driven personal hell.

How we have all "Fallen in love" with our own personal stories...the illusion is thinking they are real...

This book will change your world....which we all know is the scariest thing anyone can ever do.

Yes, excellent. Usually, when people who write a breakthrough book do a followup, it is mainly filler material. Not so, this one. It has more depth. But then, i suspect that the transcendental has endless depths. (Warning, not for those who get height fright.)

Eckhart is great so is Adyashanti and Gangaji . Papaji , Maharshi lots and lots of people who don't have the "truth" that really have the gift to point you at it.

I'm in the process of reading it. Loved "The Power of Now" and this follows it nicely. It's a deep read, meaning it has the ability to make you face your illusions, which is not for the faint of heart. Having left one matrix already, finding out the rest of your life is not real either is not easy to assimilate. While it's freeing to see through the veneer of our story, it's still a shock to be left without the safety blanket. The ego really hates being exposed. God, don't I know it.

I'm in the middle of reading this also. I bought my husband the audio version as he travels a lot with work. I wasn't sure if he would like it or not but so far he loves it.

I think it is a really good read for anyone who has left the org or is trying to leave. So much of it applies to the mindset of my family members under the control of the cult.

Actually, the book was first published in 2005. It's getting a lot of attention now because Oprah has selected it for her next book club discussion. As of today, Feb. 23, more than 360,000 people have signed up to take a live online "class" with Oprah and Eckhart Tolle beginning March 3. He will appear for 10 consecutive Mondays and people will have a chance to ask him questions. If interested, go to her website and sign up for the class, but first you must become a member of her site. Hi blueviceroy - it's great to see you again.

I want to add a hello to all the other posters on this thread and thank them for their interest in awakening to their true nature. You are making a difference in the world by doing that. As tall penguin said, it's not for the faint of heart. It takes real courage to look beyond the accepted way of viewing things, but what awaits you is the discovery of an unshakable peace that isn't dependent upon anything.
