On the question of redshirt freshman as opposed to true freshman... a redshirt is a player that they either want to save for a year and not use him or they are hurt and can't play. Then he gets one more year of elligibility by redshirting. So he's not really in his first year of college.

Thanks, Dawg.
So, is a redshirt still allowed to go to his classes?

Snowbird,
A true freshman is a player that wasn't red-shirted. A true freshman is in his first year of college. Red shirting mean saving a player's eligibiity for an extra year, so they don't play during their freshman year.
Home that explains a little.
Like Dawg, I'm still not 100% functioning yet. We had a party and watched the game Saturday.
Auburn game is right around the corner. Who does Georgia have next week? Is it LSU?

Auburn vs Georgia on Nov 10, 2007.

I like Bama (Heck, I like the SEC in general).
But my true allegiance belongs to USM (University of Southern Mississippi)
