Most people think, Great God will come from the skies, Take away everything And make everybody feel high. But if you know what life is worth, You will look for yours on earth: And now you see the light, You stand up for your rights.~~Bob Marley

    Poor Ladonna,
I think your thread has been sabotaged, and you were serious!! But I have to admit all of you guys are hilarious.
On a serious note. Thinker and I met through the Yahoo personals in April of 2000. Ten days later we had our first date and I never went back to my apartment except to pick stuff up and bring it to my new home. Six days after we met in person he brought a ring home and proposed to me. A proposal that was so enchantingly beautiful that I cried the whole time I was saying yes. On June 30, 2000 we got married!
We are more in love than the day we married and even we can't get over how incredible it is!!!!! We are absolutely totally crazy about each other.
He is the bestest thing that ever ever happened to me!!! I love him with all of my heart and soul, and the best thing is it is reciprocated!!!!!!
Thanks for asking, I love telling!!!!

    TW,

Your experience is a major exception, you KNOW that, don't you?

My next door neighbor 'met' someone on the internet and has subsequently left his wife and beautiful two year old son. The whole process took about two years.

I'm happy as hell for YOU and hubby, though. I believe it's possible, but very unlikely for most people. And you only 'talked' for two months, eh? Wild.

    peace,

    yeah tj,

It's sad but true that many marriages have broken up from spouses having cyber affairs with someone (or someones) they have met over the internet. I know of one JW guy who left his wife of 10 years for a woman he met over the internet.

I'm glad that the Thinkers have found their soulmates in each other. It certainly gives hope that we may find that special someone somewhere, some day.

But to be honest, people can pretend to be anyone they want to be over the net. You don't really know a person until you have met them, met their family and friends, spent time getting to know them in real life. The internet is far removed from reality.

    Thinker's Wife,

Wow, that's quite a story. Kinda curious about what each of you had posted in your personal ad and why you picked each other to go out with in the first place.

    SixofNine--

your post is the funniest one I've read in months. LOLOLOL.

I will just about fall in love with any male that will let me tie him up and use his body as my personal playground
