Guest with Questions
It's almost lunch time so getting very hungry. So many foods I love. Greek, Italian, German, Vietnamese (the best I ever had was in Houston Texas) Mexican (the best was at Milly's in Texas, can't remember exactly where, but near Houston) the best Japanese was in Acapulco many years ago.
just a few: a good roast beef, cauliflower with white (bechamel) sauce with a bit of nutmeg and roast potatoes. Linguine with Pesto, Chicken and Shrimp and a glass of white wine, manicotti with ricotta and spinach, mousakka, chicken or pork souvlaki, chicken fahitas.
Pork chops with apple sauce and red cabbage
I'm the only one that likes that. Once a year I make the above or sourkraut with sausage and fried potatoes for me. Speaking of German food, does anyone have a recipe for hot potato salad?
Talking about European food, when I was little we used to eat eel. My mother would go to the market to buy them. They were kept live in barrels, so gross. I would never eat them now. My mother said I loved salted herring with raw onions. Strange child.

Ninjadude! You're letting your great nation down!
Shouldn't you be proclaiming neeps, mince 'n' tatties followed by deep-fried Mars bars?
As for me, poppadums, chicken korma and chapattis are fine
edit forgot pudding - barbecued bananas!

I enjoy cookin' for my wife ! For a big breakfast , we like sunnyside up eggs sprinkled with cheddar cheeses on it, then put some pepper plant brand garlic hot sauce on it, cook in, then add a little fresh dill, lemon pepper, and seasoned salt, cooks up nice ! Also I have a home fried potatoes recipe I kind of stumbled on. Slice your potatoes up, put a little olive oil in pan to cook, add potatoes , red onions , real garlic, cilantro, roasted red bell peppers ( kind in jar ), chili garlic sauce ( also in jar at store ), portabella mushrooms , dill weed, salt and pepper to your liking, and enjoy the smells, and about 30 minutes later , depending how crispy you like them, chow down ! Love bacon too !
As for dinner, my wife and I do like to barbeque a lot ! I like to marinate either salmon or ahi tuna in a sauce called Very, Very terriyaki sauce for about an hour or so , get the grill fired up , then sprinkle seasoned salt on the meat before you cook it, lemon pepper, squeeze real lemons on the salmon , then cook about 4 to 5 minutes on both sides and pour any extra marinade sauce you have left all over the fish. I think you'll be happy ! My wife then prepares a salad while I'm cooking the meat ! She puts lots of good items in the salads ! Avocado, yellow bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, sometimes mushrooms, then your favorite dressing, and it's time to eat ! Oh, and a meal like this needs to have a good quality bottle of Chardonnay ready to indulge in too ! And we drink lots of water with our meals ! So, those are our favorite home cooked meals ! I'm hungry already, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

well the best flavor combination there is has to be tomatoes and bacon as in BLT sandwiches. I have a BLT once a year when summer starts as sort of a ritual. Chocolate cake and coffee. Red beans and rice. Tomatoes, olives, feta cheese and vinaigrette. Apples and cheddar cheese.
