I remember when my father was seriously ill and it was not thought that he would survive. My mother asked me if i would come to his funeral should he pass away. Being a good fanatical witness i told her i would not enter a Roman Catholic Church. All my family are Catholic and i had become a witness.
My mother wept.
As it turned out my father recovered. Years later me and my wife left the Watchtower and rebuilt our relationships with our families. Some years later my Dad died and i was priviliged to speak at his funeral. Same for my Mother. I was fortunate in that i had a chance to put right that which the Watchtower had damaged. I still shudder when i think what a cold hard hearted person i had become as a witness and am grateful i got a second chance.
I feel for those who are seperated from thier loved ones.
