you could make green bean casserole. The one with cream of mushroom and those cripsy onions. I know it's one of the first things to go at my house.

I've been looking for a decent recipe for a bean casserole, and yours sounds good. Mind sharing??? W

Finally Free: Here's the recipe. Pretty basic and simple. It's so yummy.

    Preheat oven to 350.

4 cans of french cut green beans

1 can of cream of mushroom soup

1 large can of French Fried onions or 2 small cans (my people like a lot of onions.)

Drain the green beans and put in a bowl. Add the cream of mushroom to the bowl. Add 1/2 of the big can of onions or 1 whole small can of onions.

You can add salt/pepper if you want. I add a little cajun seasoning to mine. My sister puts some garlic powder in it.

Mix all that up good and spread out in glass baking dish. Put the remainder of the onions on the top and cover with foil.

Bake in the oven on 350 until it bubbles. Approx. 20 mins or so.

I've learned from the French, nothing wrong with buying side dishes. They often prepare a main dish and purchase from a charcuterie or delicatessen all the side dishes.

I love to cook and turkey is one of my favorites. We sometimes deep fry outside so my husband is in charge and that leaves me to try someting more complicated, like a soup or fancy dessert. When I do roast a turkey, I make a homemade dressing, stuffing outside the bird. Lots of mushrooms and dried cranberries. I love Sunset Magazine for recipes, always great. And most of the womens magazines have terrific tips and schedules to walk you through almost every step of the Turkey Day feast. From the grocery list to 3day ahead, 1day ahead, right down to setting the table and serving.

May all our dishes be Delish!
