What color are your eyes? They look Hazel to me in that picture. You could pull off any color but I think something warm like red or golden brown would look great with your skin tone. Whatever you decide to do I want to see pictures!!

My eyes change colors. They are really green sometimes and brown others.

interesting............. Rene, I know you said your funky hair colorist lives 2 hours away. But, I'd stay with what you have already, and punch it up with some caramel foils and some darker red, or red-brown foils.
OR....have the underneath parts dyed chocolate brown, and have the caramel foils and some cinnamon foils done through-out the top layers.

With your eyebrow color, I would go a dark Auburn with a few highlights around the face.

you look fine, pretty actually...hubby is lucky... but I understand the desire for change. I say...keep it long...and go with a brunette/brown... maybe a different shade than where you are now.
of course, this is coming from a guy who has hair that, what is left anyway, is cut down with a #1 blade....lol
