That is the same god of love who, after causing misery, disease and death for humans, decided to resolve that problem. How? He made his OWN son get tortured and murdered to save us all! But if we don't appreciate that "gift of love" for mankind, he's going to soon murder us anyway!

Why would God put a tree of life and a tree of knowledge on earth anyway? Hello?? Come on, seriously now.

Ok, pretend I am god, I decide to make the universe, make man and woman, place them in a garden, in paradise. I have this tree of life and one of knowledge, why are they trees you ask? Who knows, I don't need to answer that, I'm god remember, I'll do whatever my little heart fancies.

I figure, hmm, let's test these new creations out, hey I got it, I'ma gonna lay them a little trap, let's see if they are worthy to exist or not. Now, children, dont' touch those two trees, you can touch anything else, but not them.
