Many times on this forum I see the word "GOD" and I think " So many people have so many gods"

I would like to know how you define the word "God"

I am NOT asking if you believe in one, so please don't hit me over the head with verses and things you've heard from others, just speak from self please

My concept of God is nonexistent , I havs no beliefs to either the existence or non existence of God.

I know that my heart is completely full of LOVE and that is the opposite of human nature , this love demands to be let out or it will perish and I will again be left in the darkness of fear.

This love is boundless and unconditional and lots of great people have said many great things about it .

    So , what is "God"

    a) I really really really like that link/site you provided. I needed that more than you could know.

    b) What is the definition of God? Well according to some online philosophy test I did a while back, my definition of God doesn't match up with the average definition. That being something like:

an invisible being which is all omni everything and butts his/her nose into everything etc.

My definition seems to change on a daily basis and truthfully at this point, a really large part of me is beginning to not care.

I am not really interested in a definition for my sake but I would really like to HEAR what others say , and in this way I think it can bring some clarity to someone that isn't to clear on how they feel .

I disagree that love is the opposite of human nature. I suggest you read "The Selfish Gene" by Richard Dawkins. Love is an emotion that fundamentally benefits the person who experiences it. A family that loves each other, for example, would have a better chance of living through a survival situation than one who doesn't. Any emotions that promote togetherness and teamwork are evolutionarily "positive" and tend to be promoted. Yes, there are violent people out there, but a lot of the reason they are that way is their environment. Most of the time, violence is a response to external stimuli as opposed to something internal.

The nature of an immature human is completly egoistic (selfish)

The nature of a fully realized mature human is completely made of love (altruistic)
