my understanding was that these were non-annointed...based on the non-jews who were assigned to help temple workers back in the day.
but i understand now that some of the helpers are annointed and some are not...altho none are of the gb unless they get appointed to the gb in which case they are no longer helpers.
if some of the helpers are of the annointed i fail to see how the biblical nethenim principle can apply.
