I'm listening to the song "Wisemen" by James Blunt, and I'm meditating the words he is saying, relating it to my faith, or what's left of it.....

    Where are you now ?

I'm sitting here in my office for "office hours" but those little ingrates never show up, only to bitch about getting like, a grade of 60% on work they did 60% of...

Mmmm, and perusing JWD as mind candy before I go down for more lab work... at least until I start cutting my fingers on the microtome blades- that's when I know it's time to go home.

Oh! was this question -where are you physically right now?

Or- where are you in your mental journey right now..?

Mmm, for the latter, I am happy- I am very thankful that I have a nice group of people to have T-day dinner with tomorrow and thinking of a recipe for pumpkin or sweet potato pie... I hope my "offering" will be nicely done for the dinner.

A couple of times I have taken religion-related online quizzes. One told me that I am a fence straddler religion-wise. Another told me that the "perfect" religion for me would be Unitarianism.

My grandparents were Christians in the true sense of the word; i.e., they lived it as strongly as they believed it. Having their example, I still embrace Christianity despite my inner conflicts and doubts. I don't attend church regularly, but find it renewing when I do.

My experiences have taught me a lot, or I have learned what I have chosen to learn from them.

In short, I consider myself to have a much larger perspective and understanding of where other people are coming from and a keener ability to see why they make choices that don't make sense to others.

    Doh!

    I feel like a dork...

Spiritually-... I feel very peaceful and appreciative when I am out in nature of doing some art or having a good time with my sweetie or other close friends. That's what I would describe as my spiritual inclinations now...

Technically I don't believe in a higher power but sometimes I wish I could just because I remember how comforting that was to me when I was a dub...

Kudra: what do you teach? I was going to be a teacher but went in a different direction. But its the same way in business. Employees spend all year doing the minimum work, then wonder why they don't get bigger raises.

As to where I am right now? Recovering from self-inflicted psychic wounds. I expect this to take the rest of my life.

I think there used to be a thing called god. God liked to make things, then got bored and took his toys home. We are the by-product of one of his experiments.

Quite a few of us in the recycling bin waiting for meltdown but hoping we end up in a landfill!
