my boy is giving his first bible reading on the main platform tomorrow.....I want to show him I am proud of him for standing up in front of everyone doing his best.....but at the same time I dont ever want to go back to that den of iniquity...he he.....what should I do.....p.s I think I already know....so talk me out of it

You've got to show him that you reject them... not him.

Show him that your tie to him is stronger than anything that they can put between you.

It's gotta be tough.

He's getting practice at public speaking and a first-hand "insider" look at the workings of a cult.

Think of it as a piano recital. You go, for your child. Not all of the other weird kids, who can't play worth a sh*t. Boring, you want to scream!!!! But, when your child gets up there, the camcorder comes out, and it sounds like the music of angels. And you can't leave, until the last one plays.

So, when brother dumb butt gets up there, or sister gossip answers a question, just think of them, as bad notes from the other students. Yours is the only one that matters.

Maybe, Maybe you could leave half time. Or at least in the fourth quarter. Sorry, I wish he was playing the piano.

What coffee said. Then let him know that you are proud of him and will always be around to support him in reaching his goals and whenever he needs you. Is he as funny as you? Maybe you could give him some jokes to work into his speech!
