The wt org really, really is a smalllllllllllll inkling on the general public's brains because no one are jw's. 6 million? Puhleeze. That's nothing. NOTHING!
However, this news piece is SOMETHING! For those on the outside, they now have something to rest in the back of their minds. This is crucial to the unknown potential future study.

Lonelysheep -- that's right, this news is significant.
Most people have some small piece of information attached to the JW's in their minds -- like they preach door to door, they don't celebrate Christmas, or they don't go to war. Hopefully millions of people will now mentally tag JW's as enablers of child molestors. The evidence provided in this news piece is devastating.
