i was thinking about the newspaper article that said that jws stick to no blood transfusions because nobody else does it and so this marks them as different. but there are other religions that don't allow any medical treatment so i'm guessing that would include blood medicine.
then i started to think about other things eg christmas - plenty of other religions don't celebrate christmas
war - plenty of conscientious objectors
preaching - other religions do it.
etc etc etc
and i came round to birthdays..are jws truly unique in this - does anyone know of any other belief, religion, creed, whatever, that doesn't celebrate birthdays?
and if, as has been alluded to on previous occasions, this is now a matter of conscience or should i say if it was advertised and more widely spread as...exactly how many jw consciences would it bother?
would anyone read the bible on their own and conclude that celebrating birthdays was a diabolical sin?
