I only ever gave the 1 whole PT(did a few half ones.)...at the age of 29 ..."godly view of sex and marriage..." shudder.

My favourite public talk was: "HEY YOUR ALL BRAINWASHED!!! WAKE UUPPP!!! Everyone got up and left never to return it was bauetiful...seriously though, one time I forgot my talk was "this Sunday" and a kind Elder had to step in and do it last minute...I was so embarrased I thought I would die.

I gave few in my time.... I must admit that I enjoyed it...It does wonders for your ego to visit another congo and be given the star attraction treatment - and you could even count it as hour in the Field Service !
I felt exactly the same way. Interesting, many elders in my area decided giving PTs was too much of a hassle and often out of say 7 elders, only 2-3 would actually give talks out.
To me it was 1) easy service and 2) fun. Many places you were treated really well and in others no so much. Giving talks on the CA & DC was even more ego boosting.

Mavie, I had that very outline--and gave the same talk too! Bizarre reading through those opening portions. I could finish the sentences even before reading them.
