Thanks everyone. I was totally surprised. I love what I do and don't look for rewards like this but I have to say, I feel proud that I did win. btw there are 100 caregivers in my agency. And in the district there are 1,000. So this is a great honor to be considered #1. Lilly
I just made Caregiver of the Year!!!

It's people like you who show true brotherly/sisterly love who make all the difference in this world.

How wonderful!
It's nice to be recognized for the hard work you do (that is not an easy job). The fact that you got this shows that you view what you do as much more than a "job", and that must come through for the people you care for to take the time to write in on your behalf!

Congrats Lil, you must be very good at what you do- it's not an easy job. I'm sure it had a lot to do with your outlook on your job;
I am blessed because I love my job and love the elderly too. I can make a difference in their lives and my life is richer for it! Peace, Lilly
I've seen too many people in that field who seem unpleasant and mean- so much so that I'm afraid to end up old, alone and in a place like that someday. Or that my parents will be put somewhere like that. Especially since I might not know what or where they're at once they can't take care of themselves anymore. I wish there were more people doing what you do that felt the way you do- I think that's great
I tried once to work in an elderly care facility quite awhile back. The night they put me on feeding with an older man that had Huntington disease was too much- (he reminded me of an older version of my father) and I couldn't stop crying as I was trying to spoon feed him. Needless to say that was my last night there. -

That's wonderful! A good CNA is worth her/his weight in gold! I know that if you got that award, you are a very caring person and a hard worker!
