The GB has a lot to answer for

  The “Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses” has a lot to answer for, including:

  • The unnecessary deaths of thousands of its adherents. Each death has a multiplying effect on each loved one.
  • The destruction of countless families, since the organization demands allegiance to the men in Brooklyn above allegiance to parent or child.
  • The proliferation of mental illness, which is from 3 to 40 times the norm of the general society.

  Regarding the latter point, it is not surprising to see delusive manifestations, as with “JCanon”. While denying the GB, this person takes on key errors from the GB, including:

  • The myth that the dates of events in ancient history have some bearing on future events.
  • The myth that there is a fixed period of 2520 years that separates certain events in the past with events in the present.
  • The myth of a “corrected” chronology.
  • The myth that the “70 years” of servitude started when the last person was removed from the land of Judah.
  • The myth of an elite “class” made up of a fixed number.
  • The myth of a “hidden” coming of Christ.
  • The myth of appointing oneself as “the Christ” (the Anointed).
  • The myth that profane history may be used to interpret Holy Scripture.
  • The claim to be the authoritative interpreter of Scripture, based on the self-proclamation to be “The Prophet” of God.

  One can only wonder at the destructive impact that the GB's thinking has had on people's minds, like JCanon’s.

  Take a bow, GB, you have succeeded in destroying yet another individual. How proud you must be at your authority and power! But I find it despicable.

  Doug. Yes they do, and I disagree Outlaw, sooner or later, they will crumble and fail, they are a small number globally that continues to get smaller as more people become informed and leave. My bet is that within 50 years, they will have faded into obscure numbers, despite their fudging of "publishers". With every new generation brought up in it, more and more are chosing to leave, younger and younger. Add to that lower number of converts, the writing is on the wall for them, its only a matter of time, IMO.

  ..SweetStuff..The problem is,the WBT$ is a "multi-billion dollar organization"..It could go on for 100`s of years.....They are already obscure..There are 2 billion christians..only 6 million are JW`s....JW`s make up 0.30% of Christians..JW`s are a Pimple on the Ass of Christianity........OUTLAW

  They may be a "multi-billion dollar organization" on paper, however, in liquid assets, I suspect things aren't flowing that smoothly. Hence the change in the Watchtower rag printing. And, enough lawsuits against them, government fines, taxation, could change their finacial status rather quickly. They could still keep printing material for 100's of years, but with very few followers, as you said yourself they are a pimple on the ass of the world, and less and less converts, sooner or later they are going to run out of door to door salesmen. I don't think they will disappear in 50 years, don't get me wrong, but I think in 50 years, you will see their numbers drop dramatically, due to the internet, media coverage, education. They'd have their "hayday" I think and are winding down, slowly but surely.

  SweetStuff..I agree the religion is winding down..I would love to see them disappear for good..Maybe one day the WBT$ will get out of the religion business........They`re other business`s will keep them financialy afloat..Profit`s from war and tobacco,ect,ect.Which they already recieve money from..And..The Average JW knows nothing about...OUTLAW
