Does your worldy significant other hate us?

I have been enduring a barrage of text messages tonight. They are from an ex, who was telling me that she was thinking about us working out until I told her I was going to the New Year's fest in the big D.

She always was paranoid about this place.

How about you and yours? Are we your "dirty little secret"?

No, my wife got us joined on here in March of 2007 I believe. At first I didn't want to join in because I was burned out on everything about witnesses. But when I found out a lot of nice, caring people are on here helping people cope with being out of the org. I decided to join and be of assistance myself to others. My wife initially got on the board to see how to communicate with my j-dub relatives. For both of us, the board has turned into, so much more. Met a lot of cool people ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

My never a JW husband knows I post, has met many here in real life and keeps asking when we can go to another apostafest.

He doesn't post anywhere, just not a posting type person, but he knows who many of you are cause I read your post to him...even when he really doesn't care. He thinks of your all as 'MY' friends. He always likes my friends.

Mr Brinjen's quite OK with me being here, he knows I was in a cult and this board is helping me deal with it, he's quite supportive actually. It was only recently he told me he's noticed lately I'm becoming stronger and more confident with myself.

No my husband (never a JW) is very pleased that I have found support on JWD. He has seen me cry buckets over being a JW, finding out it's all a lie, and having my son still a JW with all that it entails.

My wife was suspicious for many years about me being on these forums, but slowly over time I was able to tell her more about the damage that was caused to me from my JW upbringing, then she understood why I posted here.

No, infact he is glad that I have a place to come to because he's never had to deal with something like this and really can't relate to alot of what I tell him about what goes on in the bOrg. He enjoys it when I tell him about the funny stuff we talk about here and is real sympathetic about the bad stuff that some here have had to go through.

Hubby isn't jealous. He just thinks I'm addicted. I don't know where he got that idea. Probably because I have to put the laptop in it's bag to do housework. Out of sight...I'm actually a little jealous, he thinks sweetstuff is cute.

I am the "worldly significant other" half of my equation, and I would be THRILLED if my JW would come here, or interact with former and exiting JWs anywhere really. That's not going to happen any time soon, but hopefully one of these days :-)
