I used to work for a janitorial company that cleaned Target...I know of what you speak..
...and by the way..do they still do the Disneyesque rip off and refer to their customers as Guests? How stupid....and their Store
Managerserrr..Directors?Team Lead..my a$$..thee is not a Team at Target.... other than the Managers vs Peons.,,like all of Corporate America...
I worked retail before that for 7.5 years (8 Christmas seasons total)...I have stories..maybe I should start a thread....maybe...heh heh...

Great post. I got reminded that the word "retard" is offensive the last time I said it...but like you I would never refer to a mentally handicapped person as retarded. Retard is a great word. But since I was reminded that it is offensive, I went back to using f*cktard. <---- much less offensive!
It is amazing isn't it, how people get worked up on thier power trips at their job(s). At one point in my life I went from upper management with 28 locations under my direction, to working as a salesman, security guard, and video store clerk...while on government assistance to feed my kids and my wife's family including her brother who was older than me.
It's a humbling experience to step back into a role you hav already exceeded, it builds character to see these idiots that have no idea what they are in for, and it builds something else entirely to be able to watch it all happen and act like you don't notice.

I always learn from you LRG. This is no different. I'm trying to let it build character, not to take myself so seriously and to just suck it up, remember my goals and do what I've got to do.
