Otherwise, I might just go into the patio furniture business! LOL
Too bad you don't know any competent carpenters.

I planned on doing what every incompetent carpenter does: Let the sheetrockers cover it up.
They were older than You! That is too bad. When I see old trees uprooted like that, I feel a little sad. Like an old person, stood as long as they could.
I bet with all of those cedar trees, you don't have a bug problem.
You were very lucky you did not have more damage. Katrina showed me what a tree (or several) can do when it falls on a house.
changeling

Mud covers a multitude of sins.
Not sure how it would hold up on your patio though.
We've been getting the same sort of weather here in MICH, only problem I have had is it's blowing my lighted flying raindeer over. Also, my lighted snowman family. Rattling my Christmas lights strung from the roof. Sorry for your disaster though. Your home is still intact, that's a plus. Take care
So sorry to read that But a blessing your both fine (HUG)
Now I'm starting to get really worried!
There are three more trees along the same south property line that are pumping the root area and looking like they're getting ready to go down too...bigger than the other ones. If they do, they'll take out our house, and part of the neighbor's house as well.
Geeeeeeeeeeeeeez.
Call the insuring company - explain the situation, and tell them they can either arrange for those trees to come down by man, or build you a new house ...
I just can'f visualize it. I NEED PICTURES!!!! What does pumping mean?
