I just picked some up today. I work in health care so I am around lots of sick people. Right now is the worst time of year with flu season and all. Airborne is supposed to boost your immune system and keep you from getting sick. I also was my hands a lot! But thought what the heck I will try this too.

Its tastes pretty good. I got the orange flavored one. I was wondering if anyone has tried it and if so, do you think it is worth the $8? Lilly

Yes, I use it. I think it works. But I can't convince hubby or monsters to try it. Luckily they don't get sick as much as they used to.

I think it works, though maybe it's just psychosomatic. It's nice when my throat is feeling a bit sore and I sip down the hot drink. It's less than $1 a cup...so it's cheaper than buying a coffee at the coffee shop.

We've never used it and listening to the hacking and sneezing coming from two different bedrooms makes me wish we had.

I found this link for a free sample of the stuff if anyone's interested.

    Thanks everyone!

I have been around a lot of sick people and my nose started running early yesterday and I didn't feel too well. I went out and bought this stuff and took two doses yesterday and once this morning. I then went to bed early and had a good night sleep. It may be mind over matter but I have to say my nose stopped running and I no longer feel like I am coming down with a cold.

    Works for me. Lilly

I've used it, and zicam. Both are helpful. More helpful is lots of handwashing and sending people home when they are sick.

Since I travel about 48 weeks per year, living out of planes and hotels, I've found Airborne helpful. I also use Emergen-C. Sometimes I'll even make an Airborne/Emergen-C super-mega-double-whammy cocktail. I think they definitely help. Actually I've been using the Walmart knock-off of Airborne--and think it works just as well. (Less expensive!)

Like Hortensia, I also believe in Zicam, because I recently used it when I got a cold. (I hadn't been taking my Airborne.) The Zicam unquestionably shortened the duration of my symptoms.

I never had any luck with it and I am not impressed with some of the low dosages of active ingredients. 30 iu of synthetic vit E is not worth squat nor is the 40mg of magnesium. 8 mg of zinc is only half of the RDA which we all know is way too low for most nutrients.

There is far more research on black elderberry and whole plant echinacea. I have had perfect results with taking high doses of both when I feel a bug comming on. Just last week I got a scratchy throat and swollen lymph glands and within 24 hrs I knocked it out. It's been three years since I have had any colds or flu and I work in a enclosed room with many people every day. I also nasal irrigate with saline and colloidal silver year round.

But if it works for you then don't stop, there are no side effects and you don't need to screw around with doc visits and prescriptions to use it. The same is true for homeopathic remedies.

Amen to that. If people would just stay home and rest for a day or two when they first get sick, they'd get better faster and pass their germs to fewer people.
