Well I can about guarantee that reading in THAT household is anything but sexy.

Being who I am today...I probably would have loudly loaded up my stuff...walked by the table and leaned in to the wife and said "Hey...did you know that Brother Bigmouth here is boffing the Circuit Overseers wife?" and just walked out laughing hugely and their self importance.

Well I got a server error when I tried to post this last time, but lets try again!

I want to know if we can get a sticker made from Barbara's CD graphics for my laptop. That way when we run into JWs in the coffee shop we can show them that they need to be far more afraid of the evil within than the evil without.

it's all around u? what is exactly "it"? Arrogance? hypocrisy? Constantly changing doctrine? Pedophile elders?(gag). Perhaps the elder would have been happier with a "incest is sexy" sticker. I hate the way JW's feel they have a license to speak at others as if they don't exist

Reminds me of when JWs used to stand outside the church I go to. Eventually the police removed them after harassment issues.

If they were anything like some of the JW's I knew, maybe it was the "Reading" rather than the "Sexy" part of the sticker that they thought was bad

Maybe you should have turned around and asked them to study the bible with you, since they are so tolerant, surely you want to be just like them. What a great example that would have shown the little boy. (sarcasm intended)

I am so curious now to know what exactly offended them because theres nothing there that I can see is even mildly offensive. It sounds like a scene out of the Simpsons with Ned Flanders and his kids.

I was at the coffee shop near my house (yes I have seen dubs in there on occassion) on Saturday wearing a kilt (had one leg shaved Sunday), hoodie w/flash art up both sleeves, the usual facial piercings and I'm sure there was a faint aroma of pot smoke. Usually they don't even talk in my presence, kind of like a sensory overload or something.

I'm sorry you had to deal with rude self righteous people, you're fabulous and deserve better.

Besides, 1Thess 4:11 tells them to mind their own damn business. What business do they have in censoring a computer that belongs to a disfellowshipped person in the first place? This reminds me of the incident where the witlesses were where they did not belong in the first place, and they got pepper sprayed. While pepper spray would not have been used in the computer incident, what if the management got a complaint about the witlesses trying to control someone that was no longer theirs? They had better learn where the boundaries are--what if they would have been kicked out of the coffee shop for doing that? Then where would they go for their coffee breaks?

WTWizard, do you know something I don't? I'm not "disfellowshipped," unless they did it in my home state (2000 miles from where I am now) without my knowledge... I'm "inactive," and besides that, the JW's here do not know that I have any history with the Witnesses.

Which is why I didn't say anything, because I am rather enjoying my anonymity here and I don't want to be on their radar for any reason. I just want them to leave me alone. You can't talk them out of their crazy beliefs. So I don't know what good it will do to sacrifice my peaceful, quiet lifestyle by saying something to them. If I had a chance I would maybe say something to the children. But even then, I don't know what I would say...
