Mac n cheese, that must be a local interpretation by your Congregation Watchtower Gestapo.

Plenty of extra study editions here for whoever.

I'm just repeating what was told to me, completely without me even asking about it. I think they're just over-excited about throwing their weight around. I really think it will go the way of the way the KMs are handed out like candy now. I was just really struck by how enthusiastically he was telling me. Weird.

    Mac n Cheese,

I'm calling you out on that. In particular the bogus line about confiscating the magazine afterwards.

I have a direct connection with the magazine servant at the hall I'm stuck at. Yes they are supposed to only have ordered one copy of the Study edition per publisher. Actually the first batch (Jan edition)sent out by the branches to the congregations were only about 15-20 extra mags from the offical number of publishers for the congregation but those numbers can then be adjusted with need. There's been a letter read that explains how the study magazines aren't to be placed but anyone who wishes to have one can have one while at the meeting. And there's been absolutely nothing said about trying to get the magazine back. That is just plain made up.

Your source proves that some things don't change. There has always been a hard core of enthusiastic fascists among the JWs who delight in making dogmatic statements about what will or won't happen. I'm pleased that most JWs ignore these edgier extremists' warnings.

Will they put the "Insider Edition" Watchtower on the CD-ROM for next year? They probably will, and continue doing the same with the KM. All it takes is for one of these to get out and be posted on the internet, and the charade is over. People are leaving their organization all the time.

Would they actually have the stones to deny what they have printed to outsiders quoting from this material? I don't understand the point of this exercise, unless it is to "out" apostates in their midst on a local level.

Watch out M-n-C, perhaps your Bod o' Elders is a secret test location that has secretly planted secret tracking devices to secretly follow the location of all secret study copies, secretly.

MY GOD !! YOU DON'T HAVE A WATCHTOWER IN THE ROOM WITH YOU NOW, DO YOU ?! ?!? !?

They may be tracking your Internet usage right now, secretly! Quick, close this window and browse for porn!

Seriously, I think you've figured it out. The poor magazine servant (a young kid, right?) is being expected to enforce a goofy policy that he thinks is goofy.

I don't buy they whole confiscation idea. That only would make them sound more nutty than usual and would turn people off to the religion.

Sorry, I don't see that happening they give them out to those that don't have them at the meeting.

Also it's not like the public ones are any less nutty now.

There is no way I can see the JW's collecting WT magazines AFTER the meeting is done. That would be a great insult to the sincerely interested person that likes what he just read and wants to take it home to read again.

I hope they do this. It would raise red flags in the minds of more than just a few. But I can't see that happening for that very reason as well.
