You need to directly ask people for a Bible Study

After confronting the last JW at my door with blood issue pedophilia, the Sept. KM, etc., he finally said,

"DO YOU WANT A BIBLE STUDY OR NOT?"

    I said, "NOT!"

I guess the message is out there - this is a ham-fisted separating work.

I remember asking a lady if she'd like me to study with her and her entire family. The lady accepted and the following day I brought over 6 Hard Cover New World Translations and 6 Hard Cover Knowledge Books. She didn't give me any donation and I surely didn't pay for them. Every time I went and knocked on their door after that, they were *never home* LOL!

Guess they really didn't want that study after all. Makes me laugh at the thought of all those great sucky books being thrown out put to good use.

Forcing oneself to make a commitment to marriage sounds really desperate, but possibly less desperate that forcing oneself to make a commitment "to get a Bible study". These are indeed desperate times for the organization .

The ministry, the ministry, the ministry! That's all they want a JW to concentrate on. Give up living and preach to people who won't open their doors. Yeah, right.

The average jw knows that he/she does not have to have a Bible study to get into the "new system." Few parents study with their children. Few actually make return visits or give them to the pioneers. They don't want to be tied down to a weekly study, having to prepare, and having to take time out of another evening or weekend.

The PO said that in the last 10 years, except for the children of jws, no one had come into the congregation from the outside.

The coming new study WT has an article trying to teach jws how to have studies and to "encourage" them to do so. But there is not motivation. Even if a jw never brings in a person, he/she will have everlasting life.

How sad... they are no longer Offering a bible study and are now Asking for a bible study.

I wonder if they will next start going to bars Asking women to talk to them in exchange for a drink.

Let us be honest - when JWs walk up the path and knock on the door/ring the bell , the householdesr are thinking "WT and Awake" - they are not thinking "Study the Bible"

So I can understand what the CO is saying

On Yahoo Answers several people have offered BS to those asking questions. Never hear that before.
