Interesting link, Leo, so entheogenic use may not make us mad men.

I'm not sure, but it may be an isotope of Governmentium. I recently found this writeup on Governmentium:

A major research institution (MRI) has recently announced the discovery of the heaviest chemical element yet known to science. The new element has been tentatively named Governmentium. Governmentium has 1 neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. Since governmentium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected as it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of governmentium causes one reaction to take over four days to complete when it would normally take less than a second. Governmentium has a normal half-life of three years; it does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause some morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes.

This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to speculate that governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as Critical Morass.

    roflmao w/ DocBob!

That reads like straight out of several physics books I have on my shelf! Steven Weinberg couldn't have parodied it better.

edit to add: HB is still on my "Do Not Call" list," for sucking me into this thread to begin with! LOL

If we commissioned Larson, he might come up with something like this:

well I thought it was CH4 but Doc Bob has cleared that up for me - now I just have to clear up the coffee on my monitor.

NOOLITE: A highly toxic substance given off by the Filthful and Disgusting Slavebugger class at specific intervals, usually just as the previous dose is starting to wear off. Its effects include inability to think for oneself, self-destructive behavior intended to sacrifice for a higher cause (always for the Watchtower Society only), and the urgent need to get up at 4:40 or so so you can report to street work at 5:30 in the morning.

This is extremely hazardous, and causes the most destructive form of cancer to society. Noolite is highly contagious as well, causing its victims to robotically do the same things, give up normal activity, and take up going to frequent meetings and spend all their time out pushing the same message.

The antidote is apostasy. Once exposed to apostasy, and presuming the victim is receptive to it, the continuing effects of Noolite are neutralized. However, residual effects will remain, usually for life but often diminishing with time. Apostasy works best as a preventive measure, since there will not be any residual effects at that stage of the game.
