1. What has led you to your choice in religious faith? 2. What does your faith do for you spiritually? 3. How does your faith better you and the world in which you live? 4. Why does your faith promote its rather legendary evangelical approach and missionary efforts? 5. Does your faith encourage studying other religions and ideologies? 6. How has religion shaped your life? 7. What is your belief regarding heaven and who will go their? 8. What are the challenges, if any, to practicing this particular religion? 9. 9. What are the important holidays and traditions of this religion?
0...they don't allow any celebrations of anything!!! For some reason you are allowed to celebrate your wedding anniversary, but not your birthday, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving, etc. You get the picture. "All work and no play makes Jack a DULL boy!"

Yep. A little misunderstanding may be going on here.
This website, for the most part, is frequented by those who have abandoned or been betrayed by jw religious beliefs.
There is a ton of knowledge here about the jw beliefs system, as long as you understand that you are talking to former witnesses (minus the occasional jw apologist).

It seems hard to find a pro-JW forum, I believe this may be in part due to the Watchtower teaching against their use. I have not spent much time with JW's, they generally seem to be nice people, but a little closed minded. Am I wrong about this?

If you want to interview a JW, just go to your local coffee shop in the morning (Sat) and they should start drifting in for breaks from their door-to-door ministry around 10-11. Just remember that they are repeating phrases that are pounded into their heads at 5 meetings a week! It's not necessarily the "truth" but it's THEIR "truth".

Correct! They teach that the internet is mostly evil and is a tool Satan the Devil uses to get Christians to sin!

Some of the nicest people I've ever known are jw's. Some of the worst people I've ever known are jw's.

Nope, you're not wrong. They are as open minded as the publishing company allows them to be, but since the company won't allow them to open their minds to anything...you get the idea.
