ERYN- That is a nice song by Aerosmith . Steven Tyler was on top of his game with that song ! He sings with a lot of emotion in his voice ! I have a lot of Aerosmith and the cd called " Big Ones", has all their best hits! Great group ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

I forgot a few more really poignant songs like:
When I Was Young - Yardbirds
Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who
Baba O'Riley - The Who
Bad - U2

Just one???? There are just too many "pop" songs that have touched me deeply, so I'll have to go to something more esoteric:
Tchaikovsky - Concerto No.1 (the 1958 RCA recording with Van Cliburn is definitive)

Alone by Heart gives me goose bumps. Love that song and the words.

Only one song?
It would probably be a tie between:
Anything Can Happen - Was (Not Was)
and
Gasoline Alley Bred - The Hollies
After 10+ years, I still play these two songs quite regularly. -

How about some inspiring Billy Joel?
Here's one that I love: Tell Her About It
