My jw gets this confused look on his face when I call the jw's modern day pharisees. He truly doesn't get it.

don't they claim to be "spiritual jews"?
They did when I was in.
And I always noticed that they keep the rank and file so busy with the Old Testament that they don't have time to get the real Good News of the O.T.

any of you "sisters" remember the admonition to be sure your hair didnt float when you were baptised?
i was instructed to braid my very long hair or wear a cap so that none of it floated to the top whilst dunked under or they would have to DO IT AGAIN as it wouldnt be a valid baptism

It would seem like jw's are under the same double condemnation as Jews, and Catholics for that matter, as they are in just as much darkness, adopt so much Hebrew tradition as they disregard Jesus and the ransom. Has anyone who's been the victim of a jc ever been told how the ransom might apply, either in the case of what they've been accused of or in the df'g or reinstatement process? Of course not. The borg has denied Christ. Thus the Jews, jw's and Catholics are still under the curse of the law that was added to the Abrahamic covenant to make sin manifest but that Christ removed by his sacrifice, but that did not invalidate the the previous covenant. Gal 3:17-25 And we might as well add the Muslims to the list as they also deny the Ransom and have their own perversions of the Law that explains their savage form of justice for which there is no basis for forgiveness, just never ending eye for an eye retribution. Take away their oil and they'll go back to picking dates and fighting amongst themselves.

They are not like the Jews. They are worse than the Jews. First, the Jews had only 600 laws, not the billions that the witlesses have. Plus, the laws they did have were fixed, unlike the ever-changing rules that the witlesses face.

I know many Jewish people and when I talk about the Pharisees, they all have the same response. They regard them as miniscule in the history of Judaism. They are merely viewed as an extreme group......kinda like Jehovah's Witnesses.
