We often hear about a so-called 'world wide brotherhood'. Is this possibly true?

If I were to make a trip somewhere going near where you live and contacted you, would you invite me for a meal or a nights stay without really knowing me except for my internet postings?

If my wife were not a JW, I might try to get to know you over the phone, Outaservice.
After just a short while of speaking to you, I am sure I could confidently let you stay the
    night in my home.

Even without that, I would certainly invite you over for a meal after your long journey that
passed by my location. So, yes. I might even take a chance on you without the
phone conversation, but I would wonder why you were ducking that.

Sure I would, as long as I get the $150.00 retainer in time. You know, in case of damages from me getting you drunk.

    Kidding, of course.

You are welcome here anytime, my friend. No retainer needed.

No, I would not unless we had a mutual acquaintance. But I do know people that would let you stay based on internet postings. As someone that has traveled extensively, domestically and internationally, I would say the worldwide brotherhood thing is true in my experience. I do miss that and my travels have been limited due to my fade.

Our door is open to almost anyone. (Crackheads might be an exception). Just drive to the north end of Interstate 5 , cross the border, and drive about 10 minutes more and there you go.

Sure. Well I would have until this:

I trust nobody who tells me they are a "nice person" or a "friendly guy." JK, if you are ever in Kansas City, I've got a spare room and I'm armed.

someone on the board did for me...and i appreciated their hospitality and friendship very much...after only posting here and IM conversations...they trusted me enough to open their home.

would I do that?....after some conversations to vet out the obvious crazies...., and we seem to get along fine..sure...you;d be welcome...
