The WT Clock: Proof that Jehovah is amazing and awe inspiring

  Here is a story told at the annual meeting……
  You know how the society has been cutting costs, part time help, cutting back on cd;s selling property etc... well, you know the famous WATCHTOWER READ GODS WORD DAILY " sign is on one side of the place,,,, well ,,, on the other side is a sign but also a clock which is lit at night! Well the G.B, decided that it cost too much in electricity so they decided to turn it off! Now remember, this has been lit since forever as far as bethel goes. Well they got inundated with phone calls and Emails telling them that the clock was dark and the lights were out, The brothers would politely answer that yes they understood but that they are cutting costs so decided to turn it off. WELL..... the MAYORS office eventually phoned and said that THEY were inundated with calls objecting to the clock being turned off , so when the brothers told them about the cost cutting the mayor said....." We will have a man come over and put a meter on that side and the City will pay for it!!!! .........WOW talk about a LANDMARK!!!!

  ***I swear, a GB member could fart and that is evidence to the goodness of Jehovah. Maybe someone needs to call the mayor and explain to him what type of org he's fronting their electric bill for.

  The JW has it wrong. One side of the sign has the word WATCHTOWER in bright red lights and the other side is the clock in white lights.

  The "WATCHTOWER READ GODS WORD DAILY" sign is painted on the side of the factory building about 1/4 mile away.

  If I lived there, I would be offended that my tax dollars were supporting an organisation that protects pedophiles. Maybe someone can get the address and telephone number of that Mayor's office. I would like to protest this.

  I like that idea of sending protests to the Mayors office. These guys get out of paying income taxes, and they still milk the city for more. Yuck.

  I won't vouch for the validity of this story, I don't care if it's true or not. What gets me is how these emails circulate around of the greatness of Jehovah and his orginazation. Yet it is the most mundane and minor things that they boast about.
  
  Another thing, why would the GB be interested in an operations issue when it's clearly not a spiritual issue? Wasn't that a big deal a few years ago when the GB would no longer be part of the legal corporation so they could focus more on the preaching work. If I was still a JW, that would be something I would silently ask myself.
  
  But now I don't care, not a big deal to me anymore.

  LOL!!!!!!!!!

  Frankly, I don't care if the city of NY considers the clock a landmark, it is what it is. But ascribing Jehovah's blessing to this matter is ridiculous!

  Whatever happened to the "separation of church and state?" ...er was that separation of church and city??? Sounds like the Mayor needs to wise up about who he is fronting with tax payers money. They already don't pay taxes on their property. So what is all the cost cuttingh for is it to help pay off all the pedophile problems that exist in their ped haven?
