Who carries a load in the hopes it will get washed away by accident? A happy load, such as a laughing child, is worth carrying.

How absurd. As others have pointed out, this illustration does not work. The donkey that looses what he is in charge of is the good one?
I understand the point of "those who choose to do least may pay for it later" but this illustration does not teach it in any sort of logicial way.
Why not just borrow an aseops fable, at least those usually make sense...
