My dad was not involved with this specific campaign . . .
He did have a campaign of his own many years ago, where he wrote letters to any and every witness he knew in the hopes of "fixing" some of the internal problems that he knew about. He eventually got disfellowshipped. The borg is not at all tolerant of criticism --- or change --- or improvements.
The strange thing is . . . years later when my dad was retired and living in a nursing home, he was visited by elders to see if he was "repentant" and wishing to be "reinstated." Thankfully, my dad said no. My dad found another way to peace, without the dubs. Not surprising. How can j-dubbers be at peace when there is always someone behind them with a whip, saying, "Do more!"?
