I finally got it when I went back and read your post about the show and saw Nicole. I remembered her.
Ok, I'll tell mine. It was step mom. Julia was the step mother her step daughter had been hurt by her little boyfriend. (she was about 12 or 13) and Julia told her what to say in order to get even. You should watch the movie. It is very good, and of course a tear jerker. I am a sucker for movies with sad endings.
