I think this movie was excellent, bloody but excellent, with all the troubles we now face with bloody Imperialism, and hierachy, with the rich getting richer off of the exploitation of the poor, the movie leaves you with a good feeling that people will one day wise up and see the inefficiency of todays governments and by the will of the people things will change an idea who's time has come.

Are not most of todays governments in power because in times past "the people" got fed up of the rich getting richer, exploitation, the innefficiency of governments ..the will of the people will change things.

How many governments round the world are products of revolutions of "the people" against an oppressive, rich, exploiting rulling class. Who in turn are now the "oppressive, rich, exploiting ruling class". Look to the countries of Africa, who got rid of their "Imperialist oppressors" and now run by corrupt governments.

Or the nation that at one time heard these words:

"Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.........
and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

Has it lived up to them?

Don't worry I can think of some things about Britain as well.

We are being run by a government a "LABOUR" government supposed to be the "peoples party" yet we get taxed on almost everything, Our liberties are eroded each day under the guise of "fighting crime and terrorism".

Throw the wrong item into the wrong bin, and face a fine or prison. Use a moblie phone while driving and in the future you may face two years prison.

Stab someone to death and do community service.

Didn't someone say "That the people get the governments they deserve."

I thought it was a great movie. It shows that if you give your goverment a little to much power over personal freedom, the government will take it upon itself to take the rest of your freedoms. Loved the moved from start to finish and Natalie Portman is one hot bald chick!

Big fan here, I love the quote "People should not fear their governments, governments should fear their people." Also that scene where he faces the guards they blast him a hundred times then he goes through and utterly tools them all was a goosebump moment for me.
